Dr. Mathur obtained his Rheumatology training in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania and Abington Hospital. Before specializing in Rheumatology, Dr. Mathur had extensive training and experience in Internal Medicine.

He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. 

He received Fellowship to the American College of Rhuematology (FACR) in 1991 and was awarded  Fellowship to the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 1994. 

Dr. Mathur has been in the practice of Rheumatology for over 30 years.

He has staff privileges at Monongahela Valley Hospital and Ohio Valley hospital.

He has been involved in various research projects. He is actively involved over the last many years in raising the awareness of arthritic problems in the community and offering a variety of educational programs.

He serves as chairman of the library and education committee, organizing physician CME programs at Monongahela Valley hospital.

Dr. Mathur was awarded the Sickman-Levin Award for Dimensions in Medicine by Monongahela Valley Hospital in 2019.
